I have always been a lot into drawings. Especially when it's really not the moment to do it!
For me it has always been a great way to evade myself.
I often see on my drawings some weird creatures, looking both terrible and friendly.
Maybe because they are a part of me?
But, what's hard is to pick that sketch and change it into an artwork. Painting, photo-manipulation, whatever...
I always find the sketch a lot more alive and succesfull.
This project, Sanguine and Fatalis, was at the beginning one of those sketches. But I really didn't want to restart it from scratch...
(I had no scanner at that time, so the quality is quite aweful...)
So I tried (once more) to colorize it with photoshop instead...
This is the first attempt of coloring.
I was really unsatisfyed with the global athmosphere, sad and messy.
It is only recently I re-discovered this drawing and its potential and tried to manipulate it once again.

And this time, I really love what I see. I can feel an atmosphere.
It was a kind of a fight between my computer and I, but finnally, I'm pleased by the result!
(oh, and the geometric shapes are just a kind of fantasy!).
Should I try to coloryze previous works as I did here?
